OVERVIEW OF KEY ACTIONS CARRIED OUT IN THE FIRST HALF OF 2025

Throughout the first quarter of 2025, several times we distributed food kits and clothing to several orphaned, destitute and street children, in addition to the residents already living in the center.  Whether mass or individual distributions, the children all received food and clothing. During this trimester, lots of orphans participated in various educational, instructional and recreational programs. The goal was to offer them a better future by providing for their basic needs and contributing to their development. We also carried out other types of distributions to children, young people, the elderly, and people with disabilities or living in precarious situations.

DELIVERY OF MEAL BASKETS TO DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE WITH MOTOR DISABILITIES AND ALL KINDS OF PHYSICAL IMPAIRMENTS

On February 1, 2025, a major solidarity action was held in favor of people living with motor disabilities and those with all kinds of disabilities. More than 200 people, mainly paralyzed, semi-paralyzed or suffering from macrocephaly, cysts, clubfoot, scoliosis, syndactyly, polydactyly, achondroplasia and strabismus, were able to benefit from food support, offered in a spirit of mutual aid and compassion.

Organized by a team of dedicated volunteers, this initiative aimed to provide concrete relief to beneficiaries who often face isolation and difficulties accessing basic needs. The event took place in a fraternal atmosphere, marked by profound human exchanges and a genuine desire to make a difference. Beyond material aid, this day was a powerful reminder of the importance of inclusion and the duty of solidarity towards the most vulnerable.

FOOD DISTRIBUTION TO DEAF, MUTE AND HIV-AFFECTED PEOPLE

We organized a large-scale food distribution at our premises, welcoming a particularly vulnerable population, including approximately 300 deaf, mute, and deaf-mute people living with HIV. We were struck by the peaceful atmosphere and the exemplary organization of the beneficiaries, who received the aid with gratitude and dignity.

This special day was more of a life lesson; it was not limited to a charitable and altruistic act, but it allowed us to break down certain prejudices about people with disabilities or living with HIV. We witnessed their civic-mindedness, their respect, their intellect, and their incredible ability to adapt when they are welcomed with kindness.

This is an opportunity for us to thank all those who contribute effectively to this wonderful work. Your contribution has a direct and significant impact on the lives of the beneficiaries and encourages us to continue our humanitarian mission.

DONATION OF FOOD

TO COUPLES AGED OVER

60 YEARS WITHOUT MEANS

On this day of April 8th of this year, a special act of support was made for our elderly, 31 couples aged over 60 who lack the resources to meet their needs. The Aveo Monde orphanage mobilized to provide them with assistance and to share a moment of listening and discussion. Each couple received two kits containing food and hygiene and cleaning products.

The food items included rice, spaghetti, salt, cans of tomatoes, sugar, butter, milk, beans, salted fish, onions, garlic, oil, cans of sardines, etc. The hygiene and cleaning products included toothbrushes, toothpastes, soap bars, soaps and washing powders, etc. The atmosphere was very pleasant with great admiration for these elders who exuded mutual respect, love, strength, courage and resilience. Once again, this day reminded us how crucial it is to take care of our elders and strengthen human bonds for individual and collective well-being. Looking after our elders is looking after our values and our being.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT

FOR DISADVANTAGED SICK CHILDREN

Between April and May, we met families living in precarious situations who were unable to cover their children's medical expenses and even provide them with food. To address this, together with sensitive and generous hearts, we covered the medical expenses of these sick disadvantaged children, including consultation fees, prescription fees, and hospitalization costs. We also provided them with food kits (cereals, protein, and basic products, etc.) and some safety supplies such as mosquito nets, children's clothing, and a children's hygiene kit.

Enabling the children to receive effective treatment and seeing them return to good health was a tremendous satisfaction for everyone. Helping to alleviate a difficult daily life by providing essential food security to these vulnerable families is a worthy act. Thank you to all our benefactors.

FOOD AID FOR PEOPLE WITH TOTAL AND PARTIAL BLINDNESS AND ALBINISM

On May 4, 2025, we held a food distribution at the orphanage, intended for around a hundred people with total or partial blindness or albinism. Despite difficulties related to vision or sensitivity to light, everything took place in a pleasant atmosphere.

We were deeply touched by the serenity, autonomy and attentiveness shown by the beneficiaries.

This action encouraged us to maintain our commitment to serving each person with care, respect, and fairness, regardless of their differences. It also reminded us that physical limitations do not preclude dignity or the ability to interact with consideration and courtesy when we take the time to offer kindness. An inspiring symbol of what solidarity can accomplish when lived to the fullest.

CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION

TO THE NEEDY

As part of our charitable efforts, we were pleased to organize a clothing distribution campaign for vulnerable infants, orphaned children, destitute youth, and disadvantaged single mothers. A simple but essential gesture that contributed to a little comfort and security for many thanks to the collaboration and commitment of our donors, benefactors, and partners.

983 items of clothing suitable for all ages were donated to around a hundred people from different backgrounds, 102 to be precise. Everyone was catered for.

This wonderful ongoing initiative has been marked by moments of positivity. We will continue to pursue such initiatives while hoping that many other people in precarious situations will benefit from them.

You too can change a life by joining us. We are waiting for you.

DONATION OF FOOD PARCELS

TO THE SUFFERING INDIGENOUS CHILDREN

OF PHYSICAL MALFORMATIONS, MALNUTRITION, SICKLE CELL DISEASE

AND EPILEPSY

In order to meet the nutritional needs of some children whose health conditions are not good, we have decided once again to provide our food assistance. Several children suffering from malnutrition, sickle cell disease, epilepsy, Apert syndrome, ectrodactyly, meningitis, intellectual disability and blindness, etc. were able to stock up on food kits on May 29th, which were composed of cereals, fish, milk sachets, starches and many other foods. This is concrete support for these children in extremely vulnerable situations.

Parents who supported their children affected by these illnesses expressed their deep gratitude for this simple yet life-saving action. A day marked by moments of hope and comfort for these young beneficiaries.

CLOTHING DISTRIBUTION TO ORPHANED AND DEPRIVATE CHILDREN

Following the start of the dry season, the Aveo Monde Orphanage immediately collected thermal clothing for orphaned and destitute children. This initiative brought together sweaters, jogging suits, jackets, hats, scarves, socks, and blankets, which were distributed to the children according to their needs. Thus, 98 disadvantaged children were able to receive clothing appropriate for this period of rising temperatures, avoiding the risks associated with the cold, which can affect their health in various ways, maintaining their body temperature, and promoting their comfort and daily well-being.

We extend our sincere thanks to all those who contributed to this operation, whether through donations or their presence. Every gesture counts, and together we continue to offer warmth and dignity to our children.

HUMANITARIAN IMMERSION

During this period, 11 of them were doing a humanitarian internship in our organization, including 10 students and one professional. They made a considerable contribution, notably by: participating in the updating of our website; transmitting information about an upcoming distribution to the population of Pointe-Noire via the RBN (Radio Bonne Nouvelle) airwaves, cleaning the premises, cooking, washing dishes and doing laundry. They also participated in receiving donations, preparing meal baskets and distributing these food items to people in precarious situations. Exchanging with the children on positive themes and practicing constructive leisure activities were also part of their contribution.

All the interns reported emerging changed, with a deep respect for life, no matter who they are or where they come from. The princes and princesses of the Aveo Monde orphanage, as well as its management, are delighted with this open collaboration, which is beneficial for all.
